We tied up last week with the unveiling of the new sign for McCoy’s Arcade, a design collaboration between Jason Smith from Signset and Amy McGill from Illicit Web Design Exeter. The new sign is the first stage in the refurbishment of the whole of McCoy’s Arcade, a scheme that is currently being drawn up by a local firm of architects and designers, and will be commencing within the next few months.
The scheme will see a full cosmetic refresh of the arcade, and will be aimed at breathing new life into the premises, whilst retailing its individuality and overall architectural charisma. McCoy’s has housed independent traders for decades, and the scheme will aim to celebrate this diversity of retail, whilst creating a space that will draw in new custom and interest into the arcade itself. It will also follow the relaunch of McCoy’s Cafe itself, which will have been trading for 30 years on 13th June this year – a party that we’re all looking forward to!
So, it’s been a crazy month and we’re happy to have finally moved in to our new offices above McCoy’s. We are getting ready to announce our partnering with Exeter film production and marketing firm Colourburn, along with a hard launch date for this new creative and media hub. Watch this space….
