Green Statement
We believe a sustainable website starts with how it’s built, not what you bolt on afterwards. Carbon offsetting alone isn’t enough, so sustainability is baked into our process from the design phase to the first line of code, rather than treated as an afterthought.
The internet is physical. Every site sits on servers in a data centre, drawing real electricity and water to stay online, and the web now accounts for a significant share of global emissions. A leaner, faster website isn’t just better for the planet – it loads quicker, ranks better, and gives users a smoother experience. Greener and better are the same direction of travel.
Here’s how we keep our builds light:
- Efficient code and lean page weight. We build bespoke, stripping out the bloated plugins, unnecessary scripts and oversized media that slow most sites down. Less weight means less energy per visit.
- Optimised media. Compressed, correctly sized images in modern formats, with video and animation used purposefully, never overused.
- Performance-first architecture. Fast-loading, well-structured sites that put less strain on servers and devices alike.
- Accessible, SEO-sound UX. Sites that help people find what they need quickly, across any device, which cuts wasted energy and frustration in equal measure.
- Renewable hosting. We build on Krystal, a British hosting company whose servers are powered by 100% renewable energy – fast, secure and green by default.
We’re not perfect, and we’re not finished. But sustainability has shaped the way we design and build for years, and we’re always refining our standards – because exceptional web design and environmental responsibility have never been a trade-off.
