What we did

Grainge Architects is an RIBA practice in Exeter, founded in 1990, designing across healthcare, education, heritage, community buildings and one-off homes.

We built their site in 2024. This year’s audit said it needed renovating, not replacing. So we kept the look they knew and fixed what held it back: a hero that no longer jumps as it loads, key facts that count up, an endless projects rail and a full-screen mobile menu.

Underneath, homepage images are half the weight, structured data and SEO fallbacks are in place, and analytics only runs with consent. Same site, noticeably quicker: it now scores 99 for performance on desktop.
